The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Association of Orthodontists recommend that children receive an orthodontic evaluation by age 7. That doesn’t mean treatment starts at 7 — but it does mean Dr. Mallard can identify bite problems while the jaw is still developing and address them at the moment when treatment is simplest, shortest, and most effective.
